Care Ministry at United Church
We currently have fourteen Care Ministers in the Care Ministry Program. This program helps facilitate our visitation ministry to those members who are homebound, in assisted living or nursing homes or who are otherwise unable to attend church regularly.
Contacts include personal visits, telephone calls or cards or notes. Additionally, we provide hospital cheer bags for persons in the hospital and “Angel” gift bags for Easter, in the summer, and at Christmas. The Care Ministry team, with the help of other congregation members, help see that all these gift bags are delivered to our shut-in members as a way to make sure those who are unable to attend church services still feel part of our congregation.
